The Trump presidency seems to be the fitting expression of the end of America as the world's sole superpower. Probably from the fall of the Berlin Wall to the fall of Lehman Brothers, the USA enjoyed two decades of world dominance. Now however, the Trump presidency looks like the daily spasm of a falling giant, a giant neither caring about its own people (health service for wealthy people only), nor leading the world, not in the climate crisis (Trump attacking Greta Thunberg on Twitter), not in the privacy crisis (Trump calling for the execution of Snowden). Sad!
