Almost sunrise over New York. I'm watching the live-stream of a helicopter. Protesters out on the streets, now a large group crossing a bridge into Manhattan (via Manhattan Bridge). This night was more peaceful in the US, so that's good news, as peaceful protests are, needless to say, the way forward. At the same moment people struggle in Hong Kong, Beijing is now more or less ending the "one country, two systems" arrangement.
