First of all, before western democracies move on: The Republican Party (with a few exceptions) delayed the transition for three long weeks. That's a complete disgrace. Why did they try to
undermine democracy?
Before we talk about anything else concerning the Republicans: This deeply disgraceful behaviour should not be forgotten.

The American democracy has been softened up for future assaults. Its instituions must be strengthened again. The US needs to reform.
