Moscow, Washington, Beijing

It still remains the case that there are mainly three places where the war in Ukraine can be resolved - in the following descending order: Moscow, Washington, Beijing. (Brussels or Kyiv would be number four.)

The fact that Washington is currently showing little in the way of negotiations may mean that the American political elite think that Putin could fail here and that they would like to wait and see. At the same time, Beijing seems to be doing little or nothing (at least nothing that can be seen publicly) as the Chinese leadership neither wants to push Putin into any compromise nor seems to be unhappy about this war. The war seems to fit into Beijing's strategic concept, and sadly seems to somehow fit into Washington's concept too.
